Pathway overview
For young citizens of Germany's ten standard Working Holiday Programme partner countries to live and work in Germany for up to 12 months.
Verified directly from auswaertiges-amt.de: you must be a citizen of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan, or Uruguay, aged 18 to 30, have no dependent children accompanying you, and show sufficient funds to support your stay (confirmed for Australian applicants specifically: €2,466 for the first 3 months, via the German Embassy Canberra's own page — other countries' embassies may set a different figure, so this tool checks a general self-declared yes/no, not that specific number) plus acceptable health insurance. You can live in Germany for up to 12 months and take on holiday jobs to help fund your stay.
