Pathway overview
For non-EU professionals with a recognized vocational qualification and a matching job offer paid at the customary local wage.
Verified directly from make-it-in-germany.com's own Skilled Immigration Act overview: you need a vocational qualification (at least 2 years of training) recognized as equivalent to German vocational training, a job offer matching that qualification, and pay that meets the customary or collectively-agreed local wage for the role — same as the academic §18b route, no fixed government salary floor. First-time applicants aged 45 or over additionally need either €55,770 gross in 2026 or proof of adequate retirement provision — not checked by this tool.
