Verified directly from Home Affairs' own eligibility checklist. Replaces the Global Talent visa (Expressions of Interest for that program stopped 2024-11-29) under the same subclass number. You must be invited to apply, have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in a profession, sport, the arts, or academia/research, and have a nominator with a national reputation in your area of talent (an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, eligible New Zealand citizen, or Australian organisation). The 'exceptional and outstanding achievement' bar is a discretionary ministerial judgment, not a number — this tool only checks that you have a qualifying nominator, not whether your achievement record actually clears that bar. Cost: from AUD 6,235, as published at time of research.
