Australia's Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) permanently closed to new applications on 31 July 2024. The Department of Home Affairs continues to process qualifying applications lodged before closure. BIIP included several subclass 188 business, investor and entrepreneur streams with different historical requirements; this canonical record does not apply the Significant Investor stream's AUD 5 million threshold to the entire programme family.
