Pathway overview
For non-EU founders establishing an innovative Austrian business, with qualifying capital, equity, and points-grid score.
Verified via WebSearch, cross-referenced across multiple independent sources: you need company capital of at least €30,000 with at least a 50% equity share, a coherent business plan for developing and launching an innovative product, service, processing method, or technology, and at least 50 of 85 points on the founder scoring grid (a distinct grid from the Other Key Workers/Shortage Occupations one — different total, different weighting). AMS issues an expert opinion on macroeconomic benefit within three weeks of receiving the file. The card is valid up to 24 months; converting to an ordinary Red-White-Red Card Plus after 2 years requires demonstrating annual turnover of at least €200,000 or secured financing of at least €100,000, with the innovative product/service actively developed or offered. Use AMS's own official founder points calculator to self-assess your score before applying.
